Press centers & Accreditation

During our exhibitions and events, two modern press centers with working areas and a press lounge are at your disposal. They are located on the first floor of the exhibition entrances East and West.

Guidlines for your accreditation

As an organizer of trade fairs and exhibitions, we want to give journalists easy access to information about our events by means of accreditation.

Accreditation is granted exclusively for the purpose of journalistic reporting. That is why Messe München reserves the right to verify journalists' credentials by having them present a press pass.

In some cases, Messe München also reserves the right to have journalists present a valid personal identity document with a photograph.

There is no right to accreditation. If the need arises, Messe München may exercise its domiciliary rights.

General accreditation rules for journalists at Messe München

Those eligible for press accreditation include:

  • Holders of a valid press pass issued by a German or foreign journalists’ association.
  • Holders of a valid press pass issued by a German or foreign trade journalists’ association connected with the sector.
  • Persons from Germany or abroad who can prove their journalistic (incl. photojournalistic) activity as follows:
    • by presenting the original copy of authored articles which are not older than six months at the time of the event;
    • by presenting the original copy of a masthead which is not older than six months at the time of the event and in which they are named as editors, permanent members of the editorial staff or authors;
    • by means of a web link to an online publication that they have published themselves and which is established in the relevant exhibition community. In these cases, advance accreditation is required due to the increased effort required for verification;
    • by presenting a document not more than six months old which verifies that they work for a school newspaper or by presenting a valid pass issued by a youth press organization;
    • by presenting the original copy of a written order—with reference to the current trade fair—from a supra-regional or regional newspaper with its own editorial content.
