As far as the German economy is concerned, the key trading partners in the Gulf region are the UAE states, whereby the environment sector including the areas of energy and water supply is one of the largest growth markets. Major projects are currently planned in the power station sector, e.g. Taweelah B IWPP, as well as in the area of seawater desalination plants, sewage plants and pipelines for gas and water. Besides, the Waste sector and Renewable Energies also play important roles. Wetex has become one of the leading trade fair shows of the region and provides for exhibitors an excellent platform, via which the future growth markets of the region can be tapped.
