More than 2,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries. That is the success record of Transport Logistic 2017, the world's leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management. "We do not only see ourselves as a business platform. With our comprehensive conference program, we are also providing an important impetus for the industry", says Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München.
An impetus which appears to be welcome. Since 1978, the trade show in Munich has been the industry's gathering platform—and it has been growing each year. For comparison: In 1990, just 453 exhibitors participated and with just over 26,000 visitors only half of today's visitor numbers.
For the logistics industry, the days of simply of transporting goods from A to B are long gone. According to Rummel, "it's about sustainability in the supply chain, digitalized business models to manage growing transport volumes, and intelligent delivery systems for the ever-expanding metropolitan areas, to name just three important topics."
In addition to the Transport Logistic, Messe München organizes another five industry events with its partners abroad, including in China, India, Turkey and the United States. The next event is Logitrans in Istanbul, taking place November 15 to 17, 2017.
