Accelerated development in Shanghai |
 |
The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) continued its
record of success in 2008. It hosted a total of 81 events that drew
over 67,000 exhibitors and more than 2.6 million visitors to the Expo
Centre. Sales in 2008 exceeded EURO 57.4 million.
Because demand remained high, Halls E5 and E6 were built and the
outdoor exhibition site was expanded. So in 2008 the SNIEC
had a total of 126,500 m² of hall space and 107,000 m² of
outdoor exhibition space available. A hotel and a conference centre built
by an investor is scheduled for completion by mid-2009.
